Where in an alternate future, Bec Noir breaks The Scratch and everything gets jumbled and no one remembers anything except a few subconscious memories which play a vital role in the future. Everyone is on a desert planet that is a fusion of Earth, Alternia, and Skaia and are far apart from each other, but they have access to terminals to talk to each other. Also Bec Noir is stripped of his powers, but his instincts still drive him to murder everyone. Again. Everyone else who is not on his side is trying to gather the subconscious memories in an attempt to undo the mistake and essentially redo The Scratch.

TL;DR: EVERYONE WEARS CLOTH AND WANDERS AROUND LIKE NOMADS TO MAKE SHIT HAPPEN
